2021 Award Winner:


Dr. Candace Marsters,
M.D., Ph.D.

We’re honoured to have Dr. Marsters as our first award recipient for the Dr. Wajid Sayeed Endowment for Neuro-Oncology. A neurology resident at the University of Alberta, she will use the endowment to further her progress into a career in research in neuro-oncology and paraneoplastic syndromes.

 
 

“This endowment will most certainly help to further Dr Wajid’s own legacy in neuro-oncology research by supporting other clinicians in exploring their passion within this research area.

As a neurology resident, I am honoured to be a recipient of this award and intend to use this to seek residency electives in neuro-oncology in other provinces and gain further experience within this area while exploring potential fellowship opportunities.”
